COMEG began in 2002
Their first self produced album was released in 2003 and they have since recorded 6 more albums.All albums are freely available to download from the band’s website.

COMEG would describe their sound as infectiously addictive and anthemic. They have been compared to legends such as U2, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Zeppelin, The Cult, and Primal Scream .

COMEG has also written several tunes for independent movies. The band are also played on both local and international radio stations and Podcasts.

Between them, the band members have decades of Live experience and professionalism, having played in different bands all over the country in many different genres. Drummer Dave has played with professional orchestras and also depped for some well known acts, he is also in local covers band The Edge. Bassist Spencer also plays with popular Devon band “House Of Kane”. Guitarist Roger Pearson has toured with band “Diverted Traffic” and Vocalist Comeg previously fronted Bristol Rock band “Twisted” and was Bono in U2 tribute band “TRIBU2E”

When Gravity Fails are a London based 5 piece, formed in 2005.

Hamilton based Eightball were formed in 2005 by Paul, Andy and Ritchie. The band had many drummers but none really suited the bands unique style of music. In 2007, when Andy began a music course at college, he met drummer Tony McCauley. After introducing Tony to the rest of the band and after a jamming session, it was obvious Tony was ideal for the role as drummer. Eightball was finally complete.

With a now complete line up, Eightball began writing together as a band as well as practising the material that was already written. Working together the band produced a collection of diverse material: songs such as ‘Phone the Booth’ and ‘Devil in Disguise’ really showcase their funk style, whereas songs like ‘Change’, ‘Psychedelia’ and ‘Foothills’ display a more rock vibe. Not out of touch with their sensitive side Eightball also created beautiful ballads like ‘Blissfully Unaware’. With a set of great songs the band was ready to display their talents through live performances.

Their first gig at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow in February 8th 2008 was a roaring success and they became the talk of the Scottish music scene. The success of this first gig led to many more appearances and Eightball is now a regular on the gig circuit in Glasgow, building a loyal fan base and critical acclaim. Promotion company Original Fires describe Eightball as “dense psychedelic funk, they manage to maintain your curiosity throughout their eclectic set”. One fan describes ‘Devil & Disguise’ as “a little bit of Jimi Hendrix! I like that ! 5/5!!”

H.E.R.R. is a Dutch / English band that was founded in 2002 by Michiel Spapé (composer).

Other core members are Miklos Hoffer (vocals/live percussion) and, from the second album onwards, Troy Southgate (vocals/live percussion/guitar). Musically, they have been described as neofolk, minimalist, Neoclassical and martial. They have achieved some distinction within those genres, particularly following the success of their second and third albums, ‘The Winter of Constantinople’ (2005) and ‘Vondel’s Lucifer: First Movement’ (2006).

Troy Southgate

Troy Southgate, a popular writer and musician who has been involved in political activity for over twenty-five years, begins his study with a broad overview of the British Far Right between 1919 and 1986. He then charts the gradual transformation of the National Front (NF) into a hardline revolutionary movement and looks at the groups that either grew out of the NF or operated within the same time-frame. The author is convinced that the period between 1987 and 1994 was generally one of the most important in the history and development of the Far Right in Britain, not least because, while some of the organisations in existence at the time were influenced by German National-Socialism or Italian Fascism, most did not fit into the stereotypical pigeon-holes designed for them by their detractors on the liberal and Far Left. With its unique insights and surprising conclusions, this book is a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate surrounding the nature of racism and fascism in Britain, and finally places on record a period in British politics that has never previously been afforded a comprehensive academic treatment.

Britain’s seeing its biggest protest yet against the deep cuts the country faces to tackle its massive debts. Right now, tens of thousands of students are protesting against a planned hike in tuition fees which could see them treble to 9-thousand pounds a year.

We MUST support the students in our country they are our future. Violence? Not good and shouldn’t happen again but I do understand why some people cross the line – we have had decades of governments ignoring us and thinking…we the people are their to serve them. Wrong. They are our employees and we are the bosses. It’s now time that they listen to us.
